First time use review: Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel

Hey guys! So I picked this up a few weeks ago because I had a coupon for some disposable razors and decided that I might as well pick up a new shave gel while I was at it. I used it for the first time yesterday and I thought I would tell you how I like it.
A little back story, I hadn't shaved my legs in about a week, so it was a little stubbly--to say the least. ha! It claims to prevent razor bumps and moisturize. It has no added fragrance which to me was a good thing and a bad thing. While I was using it, it just smelled like soap. I'm used to the very berry scents that are my other shave gels; But if you have sensitive skin it's a plus. Applying it into the palms of my hands it expanded a little, but when I put it onto my leg it stopped. The lathering power is not so good, but I find that sometimes that's better because it didn't clog up the razor. ( FYI, I use a male razor, Gillette fusion pro glide or something like that, 5 blades of pure heaven!) But I was a little bummed because it didn't seem to want to lather at all.

I used one of the disposable razors, and I had managed to knick myself 5 times in the course of half a shin, --never will I do that again; I learned my lesson-- so I stopped using it and went back to my regular razor. Usually after I shave, my legs are irritated and I get that burning feeling. With this shave gel I experienced none, even with the 5 knicks! I was impressed because it had all of that to deal with. My legs didn't feel necessarily softer than with other shave gels but I was impressed with the no razor burn.

Bottom line: I'm really impressed with this shave gel, I experienced no discomfort after my shave, it didn't clog my razor and I didn't have an overbearing smell of berries--lets be honest here, it can get to be a little much. So I would continue to use this and may even repurchase! I'll keep you guys updated!

Thanks for reading!
