Oh for the love of Chapstick!

Well, here's the story I almost completely used up my last Carmex Moisture plus which is the Grey one above and I went to the store to pick up a new one. I just could not resist all the other ones that were next to it so I went a little crazy and picked a few up.

  • Nivea Kiss of Moisture
  • Carmex Moisture Plus
  • Maybelline baby lips
  • Nivea Kiss of shimmer
  • EOS in Summer Fruit

Review: Trim 'The Ultimate Manicure System'

I used this tool to remove my acrylics. It was $7.20 at the NEX, but I think it retails for somewhere around 10 dollars. It's supposed to be just like the tools someone would use at the nail salon to do your nails, but it's in the quality of your own home. It runs on two AA batteries which are not included and it also comes with a little baggie to put it in. It also comes with 5 heads to use while using the tool. From Right to left the are the cuticle mover, defining shaper tool, regular shaping tool, buffer/shine, and the last one I don't remember what it's called.

Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Gets the job done
Cons:
  • Not very high powered
  • Loud
  • The button needs to have the ability to just stay on, instead of only being on when you push the button
  • Took awhile to see any progress
In total it took me about 3 hours to remove my nails with this tool, which includes the time I was soaking my nails in acetone to soften them up.

Recommendation:
  • Would be good if you were just trying to make your natural nails look like they are professionally done, would not recommend for removing acrylics; it just took way too long.

NARS Turkish Delight VS Victoria's Secret Innocent

So as many of you have probably heard the Victoria's Secret lip gloss in Innocent (rumored to be renamed 'Pink') is a dupe for NARS Turkish Delight. So I've been on the hunt for this lip gloss and found it in the 5 lip gloss set from Victoria's Secret. Now as you can see in the picture this is just a sample size of lip gloss and the size is very small. But the fullsize lip gloss is 14 dollars for Innocent (Pink) and the NARS is 24 dollars.

Above are the swatches on my hand, Innocent (Pink) is on the bottom, Turkish Delight on the top. Now Innocent was a heavier swatch which is why it's showing up more opaque. In certain lights (I had natural lighting, no artificial) Turkish delight comes across a deeper pink, but again only in certain lights. So I'd say that yes, Innocent (Pink) is a damn good dupe for Turkish Delight and if/when I find Pink at VS I will buy it and compare Pink and Innocent cause again, I've only heard it was renamed. If you know for a fact it was renamed please leave it below.
You may recognize this from my wishlist but I was walking buy the VS section at the NEX and it caught my eye and I wanted it so I picked it up. Included in this set are Innocent, Glow. Baby Doll, Elegance, and Wet. All contain shimmer but Wet (Farthest shade on the right) has a very faint shimmer and Elegance contains a lot as you can probably tell from the picture above. The size of them are very small which I was bummed about, but you would deff know if you liked the shade from this set, and that is what they are all about. and they are the perfect handbag size.

April Wishlist!

#1 The Victoria's secret lipgloss set, basically I really want the lipgloss in color Innocent, but I can't find it on the website so I cannot find a picture of just it. I guess it's supposed to be a dupe for Turkish Delight and I love that lip gloss so If I can get 5 for less than the price of Turkish delight, I'd be all over it.

#2 NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the color Milk. I think this would be the perfect thing to stick on the waterline for keeping eyeshadow's to stay. I've also heard so much hype I'd love to try it out and see what its like and if I'd like it.

#3 MAC Lipstick in "Vegas Volt" I saw this in someone's video, and I absolutely fell in love with the color, it's bright but not too bright that it'll be weird to see on someone, and I think that this would be a perfect color for spring.

#4 Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara, I loved this mascara, but I thought that the non-hypoallergenic mascara's were making my eyelashes fall out and I want to see if it was actually the 24/7 Urban decay Eyeliner Pencils. This mascara made my lashes full and long and that was back when I didn't have many. I just can't be bothered to go pick it up, but I really wish I would. Hah.

#5 Macadamia Deep Repair Mask- I bought a little sample of this to try it out that I haven't used yet, but if that works I'm gonna want to get the full size. Probably off of amazon since it's only 17 dollars on there. I've heard so much hype about this also I want to try it. and I use a lot of products on my hair already, might as well add one that odds are it's gonna work.

NARS Blush!

Yup! I bought it. If you don't know what "it" is, it is the NARS Blush in Gaiety from my wishlist. That is the only thing I bought from my wishlist this month. I tried not to spend too much. This blush is an absolute gorgeous bright pink color. The tester at Sephora really did not show the color well, at my Sephora it had a white overcast on it and I'm assuming that's from it being open all the time. This color shows up well on my skintone and I don't find it chalky at all. The color is highly pigmented and it's perfect for spring, which is probably why they put it in the Spring collection. I've fallen in love with the few NARS Products I own, but they are super expensive. BUUUTTT, right now they are having 15% off for Beauty insiders! So if you're a beauty insider than go ahead and goooo!

First time use Review!

This is a first time use review, kind of like a first reaction of sorts. The three products I"m going to mention are: Garnier "The Brusher Gel cleaning formula", Noxema Clean Blemish control foaming wash, and Noxema Clean blemish control Daily scrub.

The first product I used was the Garnier Gel brusher, and the way it works is to unscrew the top, squeeze some out, then close the top and use the brush to massage and give a deep clean. I will say that you need less than you think, I squeezed out way too much at first. The smell is amazing and my skin felt so soft after using this. The bristles aren't too rough on the face, but around the area's where there is a lot of breakouts, it started to get a little sore after a while. I used this for a total of about 5 minutes, massaging the face with the bristles. The gel is clear.

Next I used the Daily scrub, this is not like any other scrub I have used. The texture is more gritty than coarse and I like that. The smell is bad, but not too bad for me to use. If you're thing is smells, than you probably wouldn't like it. This has a cooling feeling on the skin which took me by surprise at first. It's actually a really cold feeling, ice cold. I really enjoyed this scrub as it made my skin even more soft after the brusher. The main ingredient in both the Noxema products is Salicylic acid.

Lastly The foaming wash, one pump was enough for my face which I liked cause with the aveeno foaming wash that I used before I had to do 3 and always got too much. This also has a cooling feeling but not as much as the scrub. It lathered extremely well and felt amazing on the skin.

I have a lot of hope for these products as they made my skin feel so soft and I feel like I got a complete clean that I haven't felt before. I'm not kidding my skin feels absolutely amazing and I didn't even have to use mosturizer, so I don't feel like the skin was stripped of all the moisture. I love these products and probably won't use any of the other washes or scrubs because my face has never felt better.

Bottom line? Absolutely in love after day one.

I'll continue to update about these products and I will let you guys know how it treats my breakouts.
