First Impressions: Yuko Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner

I received this sample in one of my many beauty boxes that I was subscribed to at one point. I really never tried any of the products so they have been just sitting since I received them. I spent all the money, so I have to try them out right? The Yuko Anti-Frizz shampoo and conditioner was the lucky first product that I have to try out. I used them this morning right after I finished my workout. I have extremely curly hair that tends to be very dry and frizzy so naturally this would be a great product for me to try.

Beauty Army!

Why hello there Adventurers! Today's post is another one of my beauty boxes, today's is Beauty Army. This box will run you about $12 to pick 6 beauty samples to be sent to you every month. This month I picked out:

Macadamia Healing oil treatment- So excited about this because of all the hype these products have gotten in the past, and well my naturally curly hair needs some healing.
Kellett Moisturizing gel- I basically picked this because I only wanted to try 3 things in my box and who can have enough moisturizers? hah.
Apothederm stretch mark cream- I don't have too many stretch marks but I do have some on my legs and well, they ain't cute so I want to try this is try to get rid of them. The only problem is, this bottle is pretty much empty. There's not much product in this at all. I don't know if I just got a bad one or what.
LA Fresh Oil free face cleanser- As much as I like my Benefit skincare a new cleanser every now and then can be good so I decided to try this one out.
Fiafini Skincare Divine hydration moisturizer- As good as the name sounds I had to pick it out. And I like trying new moisturizers. I'm currently shopping my stash of mini moisturizers right now to get rid of the little sample sizes that I have and it's been treating me well so far.
Atzen Protective day cream- Also says it's the perfect base for makeup, well I'ma be trying that one out tomorrow.

Those are the six things that I chose to receive this month. For my three months using beauty army I am very happy with it. The choice of samples that I like is lacking for example last month I didn't really like my box because I didn't have too many samples that I liked. But when that happens just skip the month. I get too excited about receiving things in the mail and go overboard and then I'm disappointed. BUT this month I truly love my box and am excited for 5 out of the 6 things!

Do you have a beauty army? Tell me about your samples below!

June/July Beauty Army!

Hello Adventurer's! I made a post a little while back stating which monthly subscription services I belong too, and back then I was on the waiting list for Beauty Army but I have since got off the waiting list. Beauty Army is 12 dollars a month and you get to PICK--yes, you PICK up to 6 beauty samples in your 5 day window. My 5 day window is the 24th-29th so I picked these out in June, but they arrived in July which is why I call it the June/July box. Because inside the box, the little card actually said July on it. So anyways I digress, you get to pick up to 6 beauty samples and if you don't like what they have to offer you can skip that month, every 24 hours in your 5 day window they will refresh your samples. You do fill out a little beauty quiz to sign up--do they even listen to the answer's of those quizzes??--- This month I only liked 5 things so I only received 5 things.

The five things I received which I am super excited about because I got two different primers and I've never tried primer before, arrreeeeee--from left to right--

  • Besame(?) Crimson Rouge Cheek and lip tint-- I was a little disappointed with this because it is very small, I thought that it was going to be a bigger size, but that's kind of what you should expect with these things.
  • Youngblood's mineral primer-- Super excited about this because I've never heard of the brand but I've seen it on Hautelook and the products are kind of expensive even when they were on Hautelook, but I'm definitely going to be trying this out and telling you guys how I like it.
  • Clear Prep fx Matte Foundation Primer and Anti-Acne treatment gel-- I love the sound of this, a primer that will fight acne?! Uh hellloooo? Why have I not heard of this before, I have high hopes for this one and if it works I WILL be buying the full size of this baby.
  • CellCeuticals Active Moisture and barrier- To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what this is, is it a moisturizer? I'm not sure. But I recognize the brand from my New Beauty Test tube.
  • Pssssst! Dry Shampoo-- Now, this sample has been in almost every single Monthly subscription service that there is, but I have never gotten it and I'd like to try it. I know for a fact that it will leave a white cast because I have dark hair, but If you actually rub it in, it'll go away and I'm curious to see how many uses I can get out of this can since people are saying the full size of the Dove Dry shampoo doesn't get you very far.

Now if you don't have Beauty Army or have never seen it, I'm below are going to be the pictures of how it comes packaged and wrapped in case you were wondering!

All in all, I was very happy with this months box completely worth my 12 dollars in my opinion. Talk to you guys soon!

Review: Dr. Brandt Flexitone bb Cream

Hey guys! Today is a review of an item I received in one of my subscription services, I believe it was Test Tube; so this is just a sample size. As I have completely used up the sample, I decided it would be the perfect time to review it for you!

What the container says: Dr. Brandt flexitone bb cream : self adjusting, flawless coverage, anti-aging, brightening with SPF 30 for all skin types.

Now; I have oily skin and I find that this does not make it any oilier. It gives off a dewey finish and it is quite nice. The consistency is a mousse like formula, not a cream but not a gel. The color is quite light and I would say that it does 'self adjust' to my skin a teeny bit-- and by that I mean, when you put it on you can tell it doesn't match and a few minutes later you can't see the white-ish cast that was on the face a few minutes before. So I do believe that it adjusts somewhat.

I haven't noticed a brightening effect, but I haven't been looking for one. I do like the way my skin looks after using the product which could be a so called brightening effect.

As for the anti-aging, I can't put my input on that because I'm not looking for that, and in fact I wouldn't even know where to start looking to see if it had any effect.

So all in all, I love this product, this gets a thumbs up from me and I will be purchasing the full-size whenever my budget allows me to do so. The full-size will cost me around $32.
